Make or order

Okay a couple of weeks ago, my bestie/MOH/coordinator found the prettiest white DIY invites ON CLEARANCE @ Micheal's. They were $40 for 80 invites. They need some work though. We are going to add a ribbon and some rhinestones to give them some color. I am an BIG TIME scrapbooker so this seemed very fun, at the time. Today I went to 123Print.com and found the cutest invites. They have an African American bride and groom on them. I really like them. The cost of the invites, response cards, save the dates AND shipping are going to cost about the same as the invites that I have plus the rhinestones and ribbon.  I am so torn about which to do. My thought is that the white invites are going to take a lot of work and then people are going to throw my hard work in the garbage. If we just order them, we get ones that are still nice and my work isn't going to be thrown away. Whatcha think??

Re: Make or order

  • I don't generally like the ones that have cartoony things on them.  I'm also not sure how I feel about the rhinestones.  So, I vote for the white ones with ribbon and call it a day.  That's not an option in the poll, though, so I didn't actually vote.

  • Hmm. It's really your call. Whichever you think will look better. I'm not hugely into DIY, so I'm ordering invitations. But others might have different responses. It also depends how much time you have to work on them between now and when they need to go out.
