Please proof my invitation

Can you please proof my invitation??  Please note the font used below isn't the actual font and our names will be in a bigger font size and type than the rest of the text.  Thank you!!

ETA: Yes it'll be all caps.  The font used in this post doesn't give it justice (may use Garamond on invitation.)

  • It should be two thousand AND eleven. Otherwise it's OK.
  • Yep, just the one typo banana468 said.

<div>I thought it could go either way.  I think I read somewhere that technically it's "two thousand eleven" but that putting "two thousand and eleven" was becoming acceptable.  Did I read something incorrectly?</div>

On an invitation the year is properly stated as two thousand AND eleven.

Mathematically it's incorrect but from an etiquette perspective that's how to do it.  It's also not a huge detail but if you want to be correct, that's the way to do it.

  • Thanks for looking at my invite!

Regarding usage of "and" in the year, I referenced Emily Post in wording my invitation, and her website says not to use it.  I think it can go both ways.

This is a small detail but EP is incorrect here. For invitation etiquette, consult Crane's.
