QOTD 11/8/10

Okay, this is my first QOTD! I'll post them every day, week days before 4 pm and weekends before 12.

What is the biggest splurge you have spent/are planning to spend on your wedding? (ie, crystal toasting flutes for all the guests, premium filling for cake, etc..)

Mine would most definitely be hiring the Sno-ball people that set up near where I live. Sno-balls are just like sno-cones but IMO they're so much better! They're shaved instead of crushed. They are originally from New Orleans, and since my family is from New Orleans I thought they'd be a nice little nod to them. Plus, they're my favorite frozen treat : )

I'm still 11 months out, but right now, it's probably going to be the uplighting throughout the venue. I originally had no plan for it, but now I'm planning for about $200 worth in lighting.

I think we will splurge to have an extra hour of open bar... It's not *that* expensive but it's something we didn't plan on and I want the guests to be happy and keep partying!

I am planning to do uplighting as well... it seems to transform the entire room more than anything... so it is on my must have list.

@ KnaijaQueen: are your purchasing your own?

Our splurge is on the food--we went with the most expensive caterer, but they had the best food, and that was important to us!

I think the food and the photobooth.  Maybe my dress?  Does this mean I have too many splurges?

I think we are splurging a bit on our florist.  I love love love orchids and we are pretty much only using orchids for all decor.  I know they're more expensive than other flowers, but I just don't like anything else... luckily my FI is onboard with it!  Our flowers are almost as much as our photographer... oops!
