Effing bathing suits.

All the cute ones are upwards of $50, and all the ones I can afford are a) modeled on skinny women (WTF.) b) ugly or c) halter tops. Yes. Because what a busty girl needs is to have all that weight hanging right off her neck. So comfy! Not to mention, you can't wear a bra with it.

And don't get me started on the tummy control. Because what I need when I'm wet and have to pee is to have to peel a girdle off me. That sounds like a fun time, doesn't it?

I will just add to this rant and say that maternity swimsuits are ugly and I am tired of looking for one

And that's why I have no interest in buying one.

I don't wear a bathing suit much during the summer anyway, and when I do, people can deal with my belly.

LS, I can't even find ones that physically fit, though. People are going to have to deal with my tummy, and thighs, and arms - I'm not looking for anything to make me look like a model - but I do have preferences, and I just can't find things that will fit me well and are something I like.

I want to take Bacon to the beach we have at a state park in town, and the suit I have now is ok, but my shape has changed a little since I bought it, and I'd feel better in something a little bigger. Damn Old Navy for not having tankinis with skirts!

I've had the same bathing suit since 2000 or so.  It is a simple black Speedo brand suit that I bought at JCP in a rush because I really wanted to go on a float trip the next day.  It was perfect and on sale and it has lasted and lasted and lasted.

I liked this one at JMS, but it's tummy control. But it'll fit a bra and is only $20, so maybe I'll pick it up. Worst comes to worst, I return it, right?

Yes, for $20 it is worth a try.

A bought a suit for our honeymoon, but I keep reverting back to a suit I've had for upwards of 10 years.  It doesn't see a lot of action.

Victorias Secret has a lot of reasonable suits in their sale section and if you find a coupon you could get an even better deal.  A lot of those suits have build in bras too. Best of luck

Oh, thanks, lurker, but one of those VS suits might fit my nipple. If it were generously cut. That "Uppity Fatty" avatar ain't lyin'.

I found a one-piece at Target with a skirt that fit okay. Bra straps'll show in back, but if that's my worst fashion disaster, I'm okay with it.
