We're looking for a photographer for atleast 6 hours for under 2K.  Does anyone have suggestions from personal experience?  I'm an amateur photographer myself so I'm finding it difficult to find someone with a creative eye and talent that falls within our budget. Thank you in advance for your advice.

    Try Ellen Ross (www.ellenrossphotography.com). She's my photographer and I love her.  No, adore her!  She's laid back, very flexible, and has great prices.  She's done photography for awhile now but is starting to build up her wedding business, so I don't know if that's a drawback for you, but I'd check her out anyway.  I can't say enough great things about her!

    I have two suggestions, first is Emily McManamy  http://www.emilymcmanamy.com/ 
    she is an incredibly great person to work with and I think she has beautiful photos. The second is Tim from Synchronicity Photography, 
    he is a very nice laid back guy who has been recommended to me from a family friend whose wedding he shot. Good luck!

    @Hobie625 and Ividian, thank you both so much for your recommendations. I will follow up with them.  I have contacted several photographers and the 3 suggestions I hadn't heard of, so thank you again.

    John R. Anderson is pretty fantastic and pretty cheap because he is just breaking into  wedding photography. He is super down to earth, arty, and oh my goodness how amazing he is with different light.
