Wedding Party

Question about a possible song...

It would be used after the ceremony as we are walking down the aisle. We are getting married on my parents land so it's not like we are getting married in the church although we (along with our families and just about everyone in our circles) are religious.

Easy Living - Miranda Lambert.

The only thing is that it says b*tch. I don't want anyone to be offended but I don't really think they are going to be paying that much attention to the music as we take our exit. And it isn't like the song will be blaring.

Thoughts?

Re: Question about a possible song...

  • Does the radio/Walmart edit of the song have the word audible?  A lot of times stuff like that will be edited out or scrambled.  If you're really concerned about it, I'm sure it wouldn't be that difficult to edit the audio track.

This is a neglected planning bio.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I feel like an idiot. I didn't even think about an edited track! Oh wow...It's been a long day. Thanks for reminding me about that :)

  • Just in case you can't find an edited version, although I'm sure it's out there, ask you DJ *if you're having one* to edit it out for you.  My brother used to DJ all types of events when he was younger and did this for brides all the time, he figured they are already paying a ton of money so it's not hassle.

[QUOTE]Is the word in a verse or the chorus?  If it's a single occurance, I wouldn't worry about it too much.  If it's repeated in every chorus though, I might check out edited versions, but I don't think they really edit bittch out anymore.  Either way, good luck!

It depends on the edit.  When I was working retail, our store loop scrambled any word that might be remotely questionable, including "naked."  I'm not sure where they got their tracks, though; they might have had them specially edited.

Thanks ladies. The word in question is mentioned one time in the second verse.

    The actual lyrics are:
"People keep searchin' for a reason why
They say, "life's a b*tch and then you die",
But I can't see a reason for their point of view
'Cause it's easy living, easy loving you"

I know it doesn't sound all that appropriate for a wedding but it suits me and FI just fine. It's actually a very cute song.
