You know what's frustrating?

Here's my UPS frustration:

I'm expecting a package today (with my discounted cards & pockets purchases), and it's coming on UPS. The UPS location is like 3 blocks from my house. It was "out for delivery" at 5am. But it won't get to my house until almost 7pm. This has happened every time I have something shipped. I swear the driver makes my stuff last, since it's right next to his home base.

I just check UPS all day long, and, even though I know it won't be there until 7pm, I keep hoping it says "delivered".

What is frustrating you today?

  • Photoshop.

    USCIS.

My complete and utter inability to make a decision without asking everyone I know for an opinion and then second and triple guessing it.

The three second lifespan on my Droid Incredible's battery.

  • I'm really tired and I want to go home. But I have an eye dr appointment at 4:30 so I have to make it through that first.

We're moving on Nov 14 and I just want to do it NOW.

TR - I didn't hear that you guys made it official to move. Where? NC/SC? Did you get jobs? CONGRATS!

[QUOTE]It's most likely b/c it's been flagged as residential. Our UPS always comes during the day -- before 12:00 to work. If I have anything shipped home, it arrives anytime in the afternoon or evening. (my work ships/receives about 400 pkgs a day so I get to be really familiar with our Fed & UPS drivers) ETA: My frustration? The idiot I've been arguing with on the DIY board.

Doesn't mean I don't want it any less! BOO!!! (frustrated face).

Hmmm . . . must go over to the DIY board (or work)
  • I'm pretty sure our UPS guy hates me. If I'm expecting something and it looks like rain, I leave a note on the door asking for the package to be brought back to the UPS place for pickup if I'm not home (I don't even know if this is allowed, though). And every time, he leaves it on the front step in the rain. Luckily so far nothing has been ruined since we got to it in time.

Today, my bosses are frustrating me. It's way too long a story to tell, suffice it to say that they clearly have no freaking clue what we actually do in our department and they expect us to perform miracles.

It's new and I love it to pieces. It just needs to be charged twice a day with normal use, and I'm constantly losing the charger.

  • I have a UPS frustration as well--H ordered some wine and it took the company almost 3 weeks to ship it out, and then UPS had to ship it back b/c it got "damaged" in transit. Bitches broke my wine bottles. Not cool, UPS.
  • Seshat - I guess at least I have a covered porch. I just wish he would put it inside our front door (it's a duplex, so unlocked) to avoid theft. I'm already nervous about wedding presents. Maybe that will be when it's good that he doesn't do it until 7pm.

Hmm, or that's why they don't do it until late. Never thought if it that way. (do you like my stream of consciousness?)

Sorry about your bosses. GOOD LUCK!

  • JCBSJR - that thread is really funny! It's like you keep hitting your head on the wall. I'm also really annoyed at how her quoting is AFTER her response.

TR - Wilmiington, DE? That's back home, right? My family lives there. Congrats on the new place, regardless of whether or not it's long-long-term.
  • My co-worker is standing outside my cubicle making copies right now... and coughing all over and touching everything. She keeps saying 'I'll stay away from you guys because I'm sick'.

You know what would be a great way to do that? STAY HOME.

[QUOTE]I always have my UPS things shipped to my job. One, because my house is close to a high school and kids walking home from school run towards anything shiny and new. And two, because I too cannot stand getting home and having something not there - especially if it's because it needed a signature! Then you have to wait until the next day because of course the UPS truck isn't back yet so that you can get your stuff off the truck. Just lame.......LAME I TELL YOU!!!!

See I get super ADD excited about wedding stuff sometimes, and felt like I was sending tons of emails to my WP at first. I felt like I was bothering her, since it was May-June and she had just had baby a few months earlier and was prime wedding season. But she said it was fine. Now I'm laying low until December, when I go to Cincy.

We are friends on FB though! However I have yet to meet her in person.

While I can see why she got defensive, her posts were uncalled for and she came off as a total stuck up bitch. As I told her, in not so many words.

Ugh, I went for a record check in March, I didn't get mine until mid July. I had to wait 3 weeks for a signature. Why couldn't the moron just sign it then and there? This was before they were backed up too.

I'm annoyed with the weather. FI and I came for a surprise visit over the weekend and now we're stuck here because the rain and wind is so bad we don't want to risk driving on the highway. Yesterday the highway was closed and I'm glad we didn't go back home because the power was out for almost 24 hours. We're stuck here until at least tomorrow.

It probably will be. Normally, you can walk in and walk out with it, but they had some big policy change. They're provinical though, so you should be fine =) Once you hit 4.5 months though, I'd go get it. I made the mistake of waiting .
