Not Engaged Yet

Am I the only one who has nightmares about the future ring?

I have had several nightmares now about the ring and how he proposes.  I know it's coming in the next couple of months we talk about our future wedding all of the time.  Lately I have had several dreams where the diamond is so small and the way that he proposes is not genuine.

Does anyone else out there ever have nightmares about it?  Don't get me wrong I love my boyfriend and I am very excited to get engaged I know he is the one for me so why do I keep on having these terrible dreams?

I've never had a nightmare about the ring as in the engagement aspect but at the wedding. It was our wedding day and I had to buy the rings off a (very) shady man outside of the ceremony venue. All he had were basically 25cent machine rings. It was awful.

I've never had a dream like that...but I had one about FI taking the ring back the other day.  TERRIFYING!!! I'd say just relax and try not to stress about it.  Our minds work in mysterious ways....lol

Yup, I think we all do. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I have wedding nightmares now - like FI made everyone re-tile a floor during our ceremony as a symbol of unity. Clearly this has nothing to do with reality.

I had a dream the other night that during our vows, when it came time for FI to say "I Do", he just stood there and finally whispered "I don't know when I'm supposed to say 'I do'.

Hah. Yes, our minds are crazy....

I never had ring/proposal nightmares but I had several wedding nightmares - like for some reason the wedding was at home depot and the whole bridal party and groom was MIA and for some reason my douche ex-bf was there as the wedding coordinator.

I had a dream that he bought me the most hideous ring and I said yes but didn't know what to do about the ring. I hated it but didn't want to hurt his feelings. Thank goodness he did a great job in real life!

I once had a dream that he gave me a chinese finger trap as a ring. I now have wedding nightmares, most recently that the band was awful and no one danced. I think someone may have been kidnapped too.

I had a dream like that once, it was kind of funny though. The ring was SO ugly! I know he has much better taste than that though haha...

Oh good I am glad he got you a nice ring :)  My BF has a picture of the ring I want.  I have dreamed of this ring for a very long time.  I want to be suprised with the proposal but not the ring.  He is not very good at picking out jewlrey and he is one of the most indecisive people I have ever met so I figured a picture could help him out alot.  Its a big decision for him to decide what topping we should put on our pizza!

CT That's funny! My bf is kind of the same way. We've looked at rings together so I'm hoping he has taken notes. I'm simple - all he needs is to choose one of three cuts, slam it on a white gold or platinum band, and keep it moving. But he can take an hour to decide on pizza toppings too, so it could still be traumatic for him!

Paintgirl do you guys talk about him ever brining someone with him to help him pick out yoru ring?  I know my BF knows nothing about diamonds and the letters for clarity.  He is bringing my cousin and her husband along when he is ready to go ring shopping.  My cousins husband is very good at beating people up for their prices so my BF is going to have him do all of the negotiating.  Lol my cousin has a picture of the ring that I want too so I am pretty sure I am set in the ring department.

I had a dream that my BF left the middle of our wedding to go on a fire, and since all of his friends are in the FD too they all just got up and left. It was really upsetting! Im going to have to have a pager drop off bin at the front of the church so no one can go anywhere.

I remember having dreams about him proposing. I don't remember them being nightmares though.

I have had a number of wedding nightmares. Actually closer to the wedding the dreams have gotten better. I had the worst ones shortly after getting engaged. The worst one no one was ready for the ceremony, the photographer never showed up, I then was selling raffle tickets during the ceremony time, everyone then left to go to the reception, although we never had the actual ceremony.

Can't say I've ever had a dream like that, but I've had a lot of dreams where I walk down the aisle and the wrong guy is standing at the alter.  I've also had a couple where my parents arranged my marriage to some really odd people.

I've had both engagement and wedding nightmares. Most of the engagement ones were FI coming up to me and telling me he didn't want to be with me or marry me anymore , or one of my ex's kidnapping me..ugh,

I've had alot of wedding nightmares , like Thursday before I even tried on a wedding dress , had a nightmare that I stepped on it , fell on my face and ripped it. I woke up crying , lol. Oher such nightmares include being stood up at the altar and all the wedding flowers being brown and wilted and having no one show up.

I don't know why I've had wedding nightmares - even engagement is a ways off - but I had one where I was marrying some random person, and BF was the best man. I was frantic when I realised he wasn't the groom, and motioned for him to meet me outside, I tell him  it's him I want to marry and we run off and elope.

In another one, he is the groom, but then when I enter the reception, it's my friend's husband next to me instead and I'm freaking out about how could it possibly have screwed up like this. Maybe I'll do a google dream analysis right quick...

I'm so glad I'm not alone w/ the wedding nightmares.  My worst was that it snowed and all the leaves fell off everything in the garden (this actually did happen over the 4th of July two years ago, eep!) and my sister had stolen my dress to go to the pubs and get free drinks and had completely destroyed it.  I walk down the mud aisle in my tattered dress and FI is wearing a camo tux w/ a pink vest beause they messed up the tux order.  The worst was when it came time for vows and he started ranting about monster trucks!

Everyone keep your fingers crossed for no snow and NO hail in the garden for the next five weeks Foot in mouth

No you are def not!!! I have been having those nightmares as well lol. I've had two of them. The first one was that the ring was gold, which I hate, and there was no diamond but a zipper on it, isnt that strange? And the second one was very similar, a horrible ugly ring and he did it on the side of the ride while my sister was with us.Lol I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one haha
