Friday

It's Friday, so let it all hang out.

I'm sick of dealing with morons at work.  If I email you and say I have 6 mice available for you to work with and you email me back asking how many animals and what species, I reserve the right to punch you.

Also, I have lots of pink puffy heart love for all of you for being there for me while I've been dealing with all this medical crap the past few months <3

I flame PandV, but that's not exactly controversial. Other than that, I don't have the heart to be snarky today. What with Tarra's and Coco's real problems, plus the CO shooting, I'm just sad today.
  • I hope you are feeling better soon!  I've been feeling like crap this morning, I just want to go home, but that's impossible.  I had eggs last night and despite taking a lactaid my stomach is still a mess.  So beyond glad it's Friday, the week at work has been stressful since my colleague has been out on vacation.

In good news though I picked up my MOH dress for my sister's wedding.  They are so beautiful I love them!! I was worried the dress would be huge, but it doesn't need much altering, just around the chest area to make it fit better since it's strapless. so yay!!!!

We don't need to be controversial or snarky.  We can do a big group hug instead, particularly for our ladies dealing with struggles right now.

I'm not working today. Sometimes you need some time alone and it's the first time I've had in a while at home without the bf!

I think we need a happy thread!

Of course, now I don't know what to do. So I'm watching all my girly DVRed shows!

I'm always up for Say Yes to the Dress.  I also refound my love of Dawson's Creek... the whole series is on Netflix and I am obsessed.

Haha. I don't think I was really into it when it was on. But when they used to rerun them on TBS I ended up watching ever episode a few years ago! Still fun.

I've got some sorta good news to cheer things up around here: DH got an offer from another consulting firm today. It would be a 25% raise over where he is now. But then again he would be travelling for work every week. I want him to take it because he hates his job now. . . but I will miss him.

Also, here is a cute hippo to serve as a warm fuzzy:
  • My tummy is upset this morning too! Gosh dangit, we all must rub off on each other through the interwebs.

My client this morning cancelled on me so I've been bored to death. I did a bit of work from home, but I hate when I'm cancelled on. Its way more fun to go hang out with a client than sit on my computer. Ah well.

<div>TB is terrifying. Have you picked up TCOYF yet? It dispels a lot of myths and mysticism surrounding fertility. • I'm all for the group hug and venting frustrations.

This morning I went into the living room to say good morning to BF. He works from home too but he starts at 7am, I start at 9. I said three different things to him (something about the CO, shooting, asking if he wanted coffee, etc.) and he didn't even look up at me, or respond at all. I know I've read that men are just terrible at multi-tasking in comparison to women, but SERIOUSLY?

In his defense, he works on a news website, so he was busy editing coverage of the shooting, and was chatting with his boss about it, but I was still pissed. I marched out of the apt. in a huff without saying anything, but still brough him back coffee from DD.

Grrr. I'm definitely PMS-ing right now.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Friday : I sent her my copy like a month ago. Apparently I should have sprung for shipping with tracking, since it's still not there. *sad cheapskate* Also I just wanted to reiterate how much you all mean to me. The support I've received is really helping me through this. That and large amounts of comfort foods and narcotics for the cramping. I'm going to see a counselor, but talking with my parents and my husband, allowing myself to grieve, and time reflecting/praying/meditating on my blessings has really kept me centered. I am trying to let go of anger and self blame and focus on all the positives. If I have my health, my husband, and my support system, I know I can get through this. And the kitties are being so sweet. H went back to work today and they've been so cuddly. I find comfort in their purrs and loving head butting.

Yes it is, I only indulge in a corn dog when the fair rolls into town.  2/3 in and I was hitting a wall but I will NOT let the corn dog win.  Also had  taste of Australian battered potatoes drenched in ranch dressing and deep fried oreos.  Yeah....
