Where are you all?!

Re: Where are you all?!

  • Can I just say that all this baby talk isn't helping my baby fever? I even lurked over on TB, trying to scare myself into cooling off for a bit, and while some of it was scary, I think my clock is ticking something fierce right now!

  • Happy Birthday, SEWF! :)   I could tell you stories if you'd like to be scared away from babies for awhile. ha

Sarah, baby babbles are my favorite. seriously.

I'm considering rereading Hunger Games before the movie.  But I'm worried that I'll just notice more changes in the movie if I do that. hmm.

[QUOTE]I know, Tide. He's going to PT for his head tilt and she says he's right on track, but we need to get him to strengthen his shoulders and stretch his neck. I kind of blame myself for not doing enough tummy time when he was tiny, but he would puke (like a lot) every time we turned him over and he was just so miserable. On the plus front though, he puts himself to sleep now most of the time, loves eating whatever we are, and is getting the hang of the straw cup<strong>. And he babbles all the time.</strong>

<div>I love this :) One of the little ones I babysit is doing this and it's my favorite thing. She also picks up books (upside down of course) and "reads" outloud, it's adorable.</div>

  • i know its pointless to rage at the weather/nature but I cant help it. I just took the dog out and saw something green poking out of the end of one of my garden boxes (nothing is planted there) and I went in and plucked it out and it was a fucking garlic with bite marks in it. The mother fucking squirrels dug it up, decided they didnt like it, and buried it elsewhere. Then it started growing cause its so god damn mild. Im going to have to go out in a few weeks and see what is still in the dirt and possibly plant more.

I still need to put a new coat of paint on the door frame/door to garage.  Probably waiting until spring so the door can be off without a bunch of cold air coming in. Light switch covers.

  • Teagan hated tummy time, too.  We moved her into an exersaucer when she was about 4/5 months, and allowed her to develop her back and neck muscles that way, for the most part.  Now, we're trying to "bribe" her to crawl, but there is no toy in the world that she cares to actually work to get.  She's perfectly happy playing with anything that she's sitting next to.  A couple days ago, I accidently dropped some baby puffs on the ground out of her reach, and goddamned if she didn't start kicking her legs to try to get them.  She reaaaallly likes to eat.

thats happening here too. the city went around and cut down a bunch of large trees in the area this week - i suspect its because we had really bad damage here last spring during a wind storm and trees falling down. the ground isnt even frozen here, its just mud, so I can see it being a huge risk.

<div>You've got wavy hair right? You could cut it shoulder-length or a little longer with some nice layering, face-framing lengths which would let you just wear it as is and show off the curls. Or you can pin pieces of it back to get it out of your face but it would still look nice with minimal effort.</div><div>

To be fair, he was an OBGYN for, like 30 years.  IMO, at least he's self actualized to say, "I don't personally believe in abortion, but I realize that it's not the federal gov't job to regulate social issues."

  • Is gay marriage legal in Canada, Nebb? Like, do same-sex couples get all of the same benefits? (Although, that could be a difference.  Here, most people get their insurance from their employers, and it's up to the employer whether or not they'll allow a same-sex partner to be included on a company policy.)

J, he's pretty much proven it for the last 567 years he's been in politics. He's the most consistent person ever (especially in regards to keeping the Government out of people's lives.) Seriously. That's a huge draw for me.  And, you're right. He's definitely the least of all evils. I want to like Romney, but I don't trust him as far as he can throw his money.  I actually kind of agree with a lot of Newt's policies, but he's a slimeball in his personal life. And Santorum? well, yeah. He's just despicable.

Well, that is good.  See, I told you I needed to do more research.  Life beginning at conception is just a really, really hot button issue for me.

Unpopular opinion ahead:  I truly believe that a lot of unwanted by their bio parents children would have been better off being aborted than living in the foster system.  I see far, far too many broken children because of  parents that didn't/don't want them.

  • I *believe* gay marriage has been legal here since the late 80s/early 90s and im fairly certain they have the same rights as straight marriage.
