Valley Regency...

Good Morning,
So I have been flip flopping between venues and I think that my FI and I have finally narrowed down to valley regency and il tulipano. Can anyone tell me how the food and service is at valley regency. Also I do not like their chairs so I was wondering should I rent different chairs or will no one notice the black chairs. I really want my colors to be turquoise( and I am not sure or the other color) so will the room throw things off. Please help.

I didnt love the chairs at my venue either and I hate those white sheet covers which I feel are outdated- well you know what people are sitting in the chairs and you barely notice them, once the room is all decorated with your flowers, uplighting, etc the chairs are so minimal. Dont let chairs be your deciding factor. Sorry I dont know either place well.

Our reception is going to be at the valley regency next summer.  While we have been only working with them for a short time, they have been nothing but wonderful.  They have been able to answer all of our questions and in a very timely manner (like within a 1/2 hour).  I am also familiar with il tulipano (however we didn't look there) but both places have very good reputations!

My friend had her wedding there 3 years ago and I was in the bridal party. From what I remember the food was good however I don't remember there being a staff member really there to help with the bride. All other weddings I've been in the venue had a staff member stuck to the bride and bridal party's hip to help. Also I don't remember there being really a bridal suite. We got dressed in a 2 stall bathroom downstairs on the level that leads to the outside ceremony site. I don't know if they've changed that set-up since then though.

Il Tulipano has great food too. We held my friend's baby shower there in June and the service was fantastic. Wedding-wise I couldn't tell you though because I've only been to small parties there.

I went to a wedding at the Valley regency...There were over 200 people and the cocktail room felt cramped.  Food was delicious.  There was a bridal attendant to help the bride.  The place is beautiful.

I haven't seen the bridal suite at valley regency b/c when I they were having ceremony so when I visit again I will make sure I am able to see the bridal suite. I decided I am going to take my mother with to the two places and see what she says.

I am getting married at Valley Regency next summer.  They have a huge bridal suite downstairs...the only place that we looked that had a bridal suite close to that size was The Palace at Somerset Park.  We also went to il tulipano and the suite was smaller.  Il tulipano was very nice too, they are within the same price range and include much of the same food.  It all came down to looks for me.  I just liked the look of valley regency better than il tulipano...

And forgot to mention I'm doing turquoise as well!  But I LOVE the black chairs!  I think they are really classy.  I hate the white bow covered chair look.

I am having my wedding at the Valley Regency next month! I looked at many reception sites, at least 15, in CT and NJ. We did look at il Tulipano also, but my fiance didn't like how the cocktail hour was outside, so if it rains everyone is kind of cramped inside. The ballroom in the Valley seems more open to me.  I think both venues are very nice; I don't think you can go wrong either way.
