Pineapple Centerpieces DIY Trial- PIP!

We had company over for dinner last night and I decided to try out my centerpiece idea. Some of you may remember that I'm getting married at the Zoo and they don't allow glass anywhere. Keeping with the tropical theme that our Zoo has got going on, we were inspired to try to make a Pineapple centerpiece.
I hit Target bought a pineapple and then picked up a random mixed bouquet. When it actually comes time to make the centerpieces, I think we would try to get more tropical looking flowers. But, in the mean time... thoughts? Does it need more flowers, less flowers? Please keep in mind it will be on a different plate and not on my dining room table. ;) I was happy with how it turned out.
Sorry in advance for the bad pictures! My iPhone isn't the greatest camera.

Ok, I am going to be honest, when I saw the inspiration picture, I was not too convinced with it... with that being said, I think this turned out awesome and totally goes with your location!

I think more flowers would be nice but it looks great this way also... so I would go with whatever is easier and more cost friendly. But yes, I LOVE it! Super creative and unique!

Love it!  As for more flowers, you could have about the amount you have at the bottom, and give it just a little more height by adding some slightly taller flowers in the center, like ginger and bird of paradise - that might make it look a little more substantial on the tables?  A lot of the time Publix has a Rainforest bouquet with ginger, bird of paradise and heliconia.

But whatever you end up doing with the flowers, it is going to look awesome in your venue, and it's such a unique centerpiece that people will remember it :)

I love it! I agree with PP to have taller flowers to give it height along with the lower flowers. Its going to look great! Are you arranging them yourself? If so, you should watch the pineapple to see how far in advance you can make them.
