Is anyone out there?

Or are we all waiting for someone else to start FFF? Wink Just kidding.

It's pretty slow today at work, so I guess I'll start on some homework. Boo for homework.

I think the licenses are valid statewide.

But I'm not sure..can you call the county clerk and ask?

i looked up harris county and it says its statewide. Collin county doesnt have FAQ's on their website, and aren't answering the phones. i think we're fine :).....good thing too...since i decided to think of that AFTER the $71 lol

    ETA: Thanks Laura! :)

    Good morning Knotties!

I took the day off because I am a bridesmaid this evening, and it is a good thing because I think I am just about recovered from a cold or sinus infection or something.  Sleeping in (until 7, ha) may have been just what I needed.

    Any big weekend plans, anyone?

I'm here! Just got to work, doing exciting spreadsheets again today...  yay.

This weekend I'm going to a couple of football games in Arlington, and then FI and I are heading over to Lone Star Park because it's Dollar Night! From their website:

Join us Saturday, September 17 for Dollar Night!
Enjoy Admission, Programs, Soft Drinks, Hot Dogs, Popcorn,
and Draft Beer all for just $1 each!
InsideOut will be performing on the Courtyard of
    Champions Stage from 7 – 10 p.m.

So if y'all aren't doing anything, it's a pretty cheap way to spend an evening in some beautiful weather... well, cheap as long as you don't bet too much on the horses :)

I know this was a happy thread and really not any flames, but I need to vent.

I'm sick of looking for a job. I'm also sick of never hearing back and then when I call to inquiry about a position they give me attitude about it. Seriously?

I'm tired of it...like really tired of looking for a job.

Bri-Matt plays in Waxahachie :) I'm pretty sure that he is convinced that it's a "professional" team because he is that serious about it!

I know this is an anti-flame feel of sorts but i flame (lightly) my unability to get off work (and to leave my tutoring job) to go with FI for vegas this week. He gets to stay at a suite in the venetian and won't even be in it most of the time because he will be filming a shoot there. blahhhh.. what a waste of a good room (and pool).

Oh, my goodness. We were in Vegas last weekend (my first time there) and the Venetian was my favorite. We were daydreaming about going back (and staying there) until I found out what a room there costs. Ouch! I guess we'll stick with going wherever we get comps.

This weekend is my birthday, and H just made reservations for us to have dinner at Reata. We had our wedding catered by their catering department, but we've never actually been there. And I know I barely ate a thing at the wedding -- not because we didn't have time, but because I was so excited I just completely lost my appetite all weekend. What I did have was amazing, so now I want to go there and fully enjoy it!

<div>Yeah, if it was us... our budget would be more like holiday inn off the strip, lol. Luckily, the company he is filming pays for it and all of their elite employees to stay there (one instance of how a company uses those tax breaks to "create jobs" aka stay at lavish places.) Last year they rented out the entire TAO club for an entire friday night! A little ridiculous considering the current economic outlook... but at least FI gets a free trip out of it!

Reatta will be so much fun- I heard their rooftop is really pretty! let us know how it is!</div>

My degree is in Finance, but I'm kinda open to anything office related. I've worked in a dental practice doing AR/AP for 6 years. I was an AM at a retail store for 2 years and started my own internet based business that I ran for 7 years. I prefer it be a M-F job though.

I'm really open to areas. Hopefully, we will be moving into Oak Cliff within the next month or two. They will cut down on our communte alot.

Have you tried UT Southwestern. We are a series of clinics so if you go on the website and find something tell me. I know one of the hiring managers there. With prior clinic experience and finance I'm sure you can get something here for sure.

I'm in the same boat you are! I've been looking for 2 years now.. I have a decent job I just need to start moving up the ladder and can't get anyone to take a chance on me.
