Are any of your vendors giving discounts because of the economy?

I'm getting ready to negotiate with my venue and am hoping to negotiate the rate down a significant portion (half would be ideal!). I know it's a stretch, but I'd like to try.

Have any of you been able to get discounts? How were you able to do so?

    I haven't had any luck w/ my venue in a discount because of the economy.  However, I did do some research and a lot of researching to find several other things to save money on, but still get great service and products...like my photography and flowers!  If you're willing to do the research there are deals and people willing to work with you.  Good luck!!!!

    my photographer and my florist gave me a discount to work within my budget. both were very helpful and friendly about it.
