Mens Attire

My Fiance and I were invited to a wedding. We have never really been to a formal wedding and I'm trying to find something for him to wear. He has slacks,shoes, and a shirt. I don't want to go buy a jacket. Is there another alternative to a jacket?

What about a leather jacket/sport coat? One time purchase, MANY times to wear it.

2:00 wedding followed by reception. I would say its formal.
