Airbrush

I'm nervous about doing airbrush.  When I had my trial I thought it made lines on my forehead look even worse.  I'm 29, so I have a few lines.  However they were grossly exaggerated with the airbrush.  He also used a ton of bronzer on my forehead as well.  Should I ask him to do it lighter and not as thick and maybe that will help?  Or maybe I should do mineral makeup.  My wedding is Saturday!!!

When he airbrushed you, did he use a foundation primer? I swear by primers... it's basically a "pothole filler" for your face. It will fill into the lines, cracks, and pores in your face without clogging you up and make make-up application smoother. I swear by smashbox or bareminerals primetime face primers. If you are still hesitant about the airbrush, try mineral make up. As far as mineral make-up... head to Sephora or Ulta and get bare minerals (or even the bare minerals store in Polaris I think it is). I know that sounds nuts, but they can match you perfectly there and it's a breeze to use. They even have kits that have eyeshadows and things like that for more dramatic make-up with step by-step instructions.

Sorry Sep, but I'm going to have to disagree with you on the mineral makeup.  Mineral makeup doesn't photograph well AT ALL.  The light reflects off of the minerals and the spf and it can make you look ashy/ghostly.  I'm not getting airbrush makeup or have ever used it, so I have no advice for you on that, but Sarah's advice about a primer is spot on.  It's made such a huge difference with my makeup lasting all day and it keeps my makeup in place.  If you're still hesitant to use the airbrush, then I suggest traditional liquid foundation but one without SPF.  I don't think you can go wrong with MAC.  I wear MAC on a daily basis and it feels light enough to where it feels like I'm not wearing makeup at all.  Hope this helps and good luck with your wedding!  Looking forward to the recap.

Hmmm... I wore my mineral make up for my engagement photos.... I thought my facepiece turned out okay lol I bought the matte bare minerals though... Maybe it makes a difference. Maybe just stick to a matte foundation and pressed powder if you are hesitant :-)

Thanks! I will email him to see if he used any primer and ask about it if not.
