    Wouldn't a declaration of English as a national language be pretty much the opposite of a Libertarian stance? I'd think that forcing people to learn a particular language would be a pretty big government intervention into people's lives.

    Am I the only one who finds it ridiculously ironic that the "regs" on SB have stated that their reason for going over to SB (although they all seem to still be here also, so whatever) is to avoid the "cliques" yet they seem to be the clique-iest group of all?  The whole thing makes me roll my eyes HARD.

    I'm pretty sure that this is a no-win for anyone who dares to venture onto the fucking SB board. If you care so much about the quality of people who re-inhabit the place, then why haven't you done it? It's really easy to sit back, do nothing, and talk shitt about whoever does decide to go there for a change of pace. When you put certain groups on pedestals, no one else will ever stand a chance. But it doesn't make them morons.

    Bubbalub, of course some are fake. But I was searching for the the OP that Arbs made about it, and I found that it's been linked so several other boards already. So there are just WAY more people in on this than what we think.

    I just don't think it should be a topic of discussion.

    I'm not sure who said they went to SB to get away from the cliques.  I don't really have a strong opinion on cliques either way.  As far as who posts on SB, it will never live up to the name.  I figured people went there because 1) there were a plethora of idiots trying and failing at snark and it was fun to play with them and/or 2) it was fairly empty space so no one was disturbed by the takeover, just like when the old AFSBers who broke off from the group went to NEY.

    I adore you, Moose, but this sentiment elicits a huge WE GET IT from me. 

    I've been posting for -- what? a month?  And I'm already tired of "old regs" coming back for no other reason than to lament the the decline of their former haunts on The Knot.  The Carribean Nesties (who I gather are the original Snarky Brides) started a thread on their board to b&m about the new mods at SB.  As far as I can tell, their main complaint is "They aren't us."  God, get over yourselves.

    You know how in WoW we make fun of people for flexing their e-peen?  There's a whole lot of that going on between TK and TN and it's très lame.

    I'm sure this will get me flamed, but -- hey, it's Friday.  ;)

    celles, moose wasn't ever a reg on AFSB. so that point is moot. it's more a nod to the enjoyment people had lurking there, and most of the entertainment factor was from random people getting flamed by AFSB regs. now that they're on the nest, and on a local board, that doesn't happen anymore.
