Ceremony in Portland?

So as I mentioned before our first two church options were booked. We have decided we would love to do an outdoor ceremony. Does anyone have any suggestions. We're looking to do it in Portland, but would be willing to stretch it to Falmouth, So. Portland, etc. Our wedding is in September (2011) and theres going to be about 130 guests. We would preferably like somewhere where we can have chairs. I know some places don't allow them...Thanks!

If you are having a wedding around 6, you can get married on Pine Point Beach for $100 permit fee, and the parking at Hurd Park is free after 5. They said no to chairs during the day, but will let you start setup at 5. It is a 26 minute drive (according to mapquest) to the Old Port from there. Good luck!

SMCC has a great place for a wedding outdoors. check out their website. there's also bug light (no, not the beer, a little lighthouse in a little park) in that area. Both are in south Portland.
There's a little park with a bandstand near the Eastern Prom too, but I can't remember its name. I also remember an organic farm called Broadturn Farm somewhere in that area from my research but can't remember where it is exactly. Of course, there's always Cape Elizabeth and Fort William Park. It's truly lovely there, but a little farther than you may want.
