I need your opinion! Chairs - Do they make or break a deal?

Hello ladies,
Just doing a little research!
If a venue offered a chiavari chairs at no extra cost would you be more or less inclined to consider hosting a wedding/event there?

Eh, they're just chairs.  That was one place I was willing to cut, budget wise.  I'd rather have nicer food.  I feel like people will remember the food, they won't remember the chairs.  That is, unless the chairs are totally gross and dirty and ripped and in terrible condition.  But, no place should be that bad...

I feel like chairs change a room from "conference" to "wedding". You can always rent chairs or chair covers.

I'd rather find a venue I loved, and just paid a little extra for the chairs (which is what I did, the chairs they had were so ugly and I'm not a slip cover person. They gave me a great deal, and it wasn't a big deal because they discounted so much else to make it worth my while.

I feel like chairs are a part of the look of a hall, and I wouldn't book a hall if I didn't like the look, chairs included.

Chairs didn't even cross my mind this entire wedding process. They are just chairs. No one is going to care what they are sitting on.

This. But I am sure there are others who feel differently about this. To each his/her own.

Ditto Lemma and Madam.  I really don't think anyone is going to walk into the ballroom or whatever and say "Oh god, look at those CHAIRS!"  They're going to say "ooh, bar."

This is going to sound stupid, but one of the reasons I loved our venue was the chairs.  I mean, I loved it for many other reasons, but the nicer chairs actually made the 'pros' list.

Do you love the venue for other reasons?  I'm of the opinion that as long as my guests were not sitting on folding chairs, I didn't care too much what they looked like.

I used to always take note of the chairs when I was a guest. As I looked for venues and saw the prices I felt like my money was better spend elsewhere. However, the venue I ultimately chose was offering free chair covers so I didn't really have to make the decision. In the end if I had to pay for the chairs or covers I would probably use the money elsewhere.

Chairs are on the "If the money allows list"

If money allows we *may* look at doing covers, FI doesn't like covers, or renting chairs....however the chairs at my venue aren't ugly and are pretty comfortable.

I thought chairs would make it or break it for me...Ive decided the money can be better spent somewhere else

I had to google "chiavari chairs" because I had no idea what they were.  Guess that shows how much I pay attention to chairs!

The chairs at my venue were a weird pink/maroon color, were from 1970 and looked gross. Not just oh they are chairs, they were gross...

I was very picky with the chairs.. some of the venues the chairs were HORRIBLE.... I was really looking for a venue that included the chair covers.. The venue I choose did. I wouldnt rent them as that is an additional cost but it mattered to me...

Ditto to what Lemma said... as long as they weren't bright orange I wouldn't even think about it.

One of the reasons why I went with our venue was because the chivari chairs were included and it wasn't at another venue.  Although I would put food and bar offerings before chairs.

My venue has nice chairs which are comfortable to sit in, which chavari are not.  I do notice ugly chairs however.

I think great food and drinks are more important then nice chairs.

I thought the Chivalri chair's were very comfortable to sit in, FWIW.
