you could look into the gateway building. It's on the riverfront and they do weddings there all the time. GL!

We are having our ceremony in the Cheminee Room of the Hotel Pere Marquette. It's one of their smaller ballrooms. It's a very pretty room - in my opinion. Tall ceilings, tall windows. That particular room has a fireplace in it which could be cool to decorate. We're planning on doing a floral monogram and/or candles on the mantle. It's a long and more narrow room which works out well for creating a fairly long aisle to walk down - if that's what you want to do. They also have another space, the LaSalle Room which is just like the Cheminee but w/o a fireplace. However, the Pere is an older hotel and the room is fairly ornate. So if you want modern this wouldn't be the site for you. I believe we are paying $500 for the room. We are also having our rehearsal there the day before. We booked in '09 for our May 2010 wedding. Not sure about new rates. And they may have knocked the price down since we are also having our reception there at the hotel as well - in another ballroom. Hope this helps!
