Wedding Day Timeline

I'm starting to get questions from vendors (hair, make up, transportation, etc) about when to show up and when to be done. I've given them guesses so far, but I'm not really sure how much time I should allot for things. Sooo... can anyone show me their wedding day timeline? We're having an evening (6pm) ceremony, so anyone with evening weddings, even better!

    is your ceremony and reception at the same place?  Are you getting hair and make up done at the location?

    Ooooh, pick me!  Hair & Makeup came to us in the hotel (me, 2BMs, 2moms).  Ceremony & Reception at same venue, ceremony start 6pm.  We did pics before, but no reveal, so they were separate. 

    12pm - Hair/Makeup in hotel suite
    3pm - BM's can check into own hotel rooms
    3:45ish - Leave for the Venue
    4pm - Pics with photographer (bride, bride and bridesmaids/men, parents)
    5pm - Photog with Groom and groomsmen... I got to relax a bit
    6pm - Ceremony Starts
    7pm - Cocktail Hour Starts (Wedding party taking more pics as a group)
    8pm-12am - Reception

    Ok, this was my schedule (if I remember correctly).  However, I got my hair done at a salon by my parents house and then drove up, so you might want to factor that in a little differently

    10:00 am-- hair appointment
    12:00 pm-- left for venue
    12:40ish-- arrived, get checked in.
     1:00 pm-- MUA arrives, I get started (she also did my MOH and my mom too)
     1:30pm-- I think my florist showed up
     2:00 pm--  photographer arrives.  I should also note that JEGs had a photographer where he was getting ready arrive at the same time
     3:00 pm-- get into my dress
     3:15 pm-- I think the DJ showed up to set up the ballroom and the ceremony.
     3:30 pm-- get pictures taken with bridal party around grounds
     4:00 pm-- groom shows up, I run and hide in bridal suite.  Procced to gulp down chardonnay.
     4:50 pm-- line up to walk down the aisle
     5:00pm-- ceremony begins
     5:30 pm-- Mr & Mrs JEGs.  booyah.

    i should add that i just went through this same thought process a few days ago.  our ceremony is at 6pm (same place as the reception) and we are doing pictures before hand (first look/reveal pics, BP pics and family pics).  my photog says to estimate 3 hours to do all the above before the ceremony.    so im going to need to be ready to go by 3pm.

    the exact specifics are still TBD but my MOH says i should start to get ready around 10:30ish.  that is with hair & MU coming to me.

    Thanks all! We're doing a reveal and all pictures beforehand. I also have me, 6 BMs, and my mom getting hair and makeup, so I guess I should contact those vendors to see how long they think it will take to do all of us.

    Bean - Are your hair/MU people coming in two's?  That's a lot of people to get done.

    MH - I asked them about that, but both said they would be fine alone. I'm thinking we're going to need to start pretty early though to make sure everyone gets done for pictures.

    We also have a lot of people getting hair and makeup - 7 hairs, 6 make ups.  I only have 1 hair person and 1 makeup person, who said they can do them all.  To be ready by 1, the hair person is starting at 7:30am.  The makeup person is starting at 8:30am.

    Here is my hair/makeup timeline.  I put in what people are getting done.  We have to be done by 1pm.  My photog is coming around 11:30 to do getting ready photos, so I worked it around that.:

    7:30am-8:30 am:  bm 1 - half up/half down with curls

    8:30am-9:15am:  bm 2 - updo

    9:00am-9:45am:  mom - updo

    9:00am-9:30am:  bm 1 - airbrush with lashes

    9:30am-10:00am:  bm 2 traditional makeup

    9:45am-10:30am:  bm 3 - flat iron

    10:00am-10:30am:  mom airbrush

    10:30am-11:30am: bride updo

    10:45am-11:15am:  bm 4 - airbrush with lashes

    11:30am-12:30pm:  bride makeup - airbrush with lashes

    11:30am-12:15pm:  bm 5 - updo

    12:15pm-12:45pm:   aunt - short style

    12:30pm-1:00pm:  bm 6 - traditional make up
