Do you think tall or short is best?

I'm trying to decide on centerpieces, and debating whether I should do tall or short centerpieces.  Here are some pics of our venue from previous wedding receptions.  I'm going for an elegant/formal style.  Which do you think would best?

    I so do both too.  I think by doing both you would make that space pop even more than it does.  It's a beautiful space by the way.

    I LOOOOVE tall centerpieces, but I actually am going with short. (DIY and what I found in my price range was short). I think many guests prefer short because it's easier to conversate over, but if you go tall, narrow is best. Gorgeous pics.
