Wedding Programs, menus and escort cards

Hi all,

I'm looking for some direction on how to go about with the programs, etc. Where are you guys doing yours? Is it one stop shop OR are you buying stock and printing it somewhere else?

I did them myself: I bought cardstock and had a friend design them and got them printed locally. If you have some money to spend then there are stationery stores that will do design and printing for you.

If you are more into DIY then Michaels has kits for escort cards, invitations, etc. that you can buy. Their escort card kits are quite simple to use.

^ For my programs I used an MS Word template and then just modified some colours

FWIW: menus aren't necessary. Or if you're looking to save money/paper then just do one (or one double sided acrylic holder) per table - you don't need one at every seat.

Staples also prints a lot of wedding stuff and has templates (seating charts, escort cards, invitations, etc.) on their website. You just enter your text into their fields on the site and they print it for you. http://www.staplescopyandprint.ca/PrintOnlineInfo/WeddingInfo.aspx

A final option you have is Vistaprint - you design and upload them and they print them and ship them to you. www.vistaprint.ca

I ordered the actual programme forms on-line (www.weddingstar.com), and they come printed with our names and date and the design we chose, but then printed the inside myself. And they look marvelous, if I do say so myself! Haha

You can always order them wherever you're ordering your invites. You'll likely get a deal that way.

we ended up doing the programs and menu (2 at each table) ourselves. a close friend of ours designed it herself and we just printed them. staples/michael's has some awesome kits, but better hurry because they are running out of stock at some michael's store because it's not the season anymore.
