downtown hotel with shuttle?

Hi, I'm not sure how soon I should book a block of hotels rooms but I saw the post about downtown hotels recommendations and it seemed like a lot of people recommend the Westin and the Renaissance hotels. I was wondering if either of these or any other downtown hotels offered shuttle services? Free or rental? Most of my guests will be from out of town and staying in a hotel and there is limited parking at our ceremony/reception. It would be nice if our hotel offered a shuttle service and wanted to see if that was an option or if it's cheaper to rent a shuttle from an outside company? Thanks!

We blocked our rooms at the Hyatt on Capitol Square and they offered a shuttle service that you could rent. We did not end up renting it and I don't remember the cost, but were happy with our block

I sent out a room block proposal through Experience Columbus (it's a free service), and it was so easy.  I just told them to ask all hotels in the downtown for a room price, parking price, and if a shuttle is available.  Then all the hotels emailed me their proposals.  As PP noted, Hyatt Cap Square has shuttle rental option, Crowne Plaza had a free shuttle within three miles (which I think you could pay a little to reserve exclusively for your guests), and I can't remember, but the Holiday Inn might have had a shuttle option too.In the end, I wanted my guests to stay at the Renaissance (they came back with a good price), so I decided to just rent my own shuttle.  I am using the Bexley BEAT and I found they had good prices and good reviews on here.If you want to have Experience Columbus coordinate your room block requests, all you have to do is call them and explain that you would like some help with room blocks for a wedding.  There is one person that handles blocks of 10 rooms or less and one person that handles blocks of more than 10, so you should probably know at least that much before you call.  They also asked me what price I would like, reduced parking rates, etc.  HTH!

The Renaissance does not, neither does the Residence Inn on Gay St. Kinda stinks, but you can rent a pretty cheap shuttle through Cardinal Transportation  or Urban Express.

The Westin does not. We are renting the trolley through Fun Bus.

The Westin does not, however we rented one through the Bexley Beat.

We actually did the same thing - going through Experience Columbus and we've had several proposals come back. I'm waiting to hear what the best options would be, but none of them have mentioned shuttles or anything. I will definitely be asking that in my replies!

I don't know if you'd be interested, but our reception is at the Blackwell and the rooms there are wonderful from what I've seen on my visits! We have a lot of OOT guests, and they told me they had a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport, and then if we were interested they could rent us a shuttle from OSU to take guests wherever for a fee. I can try to find more info from our coordinator there if you're interested. :) HTH!
