Single Guests = Two people?

We are inviting a lot single people to our wedding. Should we be counting two in their party, with the assumption that they will be bringing a date?

    "No ring, no bring"If they're not in a long term relationship, just address the invitation to them.  If you're concerned about them bringing a guest, approach them (nicely) about it.
