Looks like we're going to have our planned wedding after all. Between losing money we've put down and the other stuff, it just wasn't enough savings to mean anything. I am, however, sending muzzles to all of my family.

I've missed all the family drama, and I'm not going to ask you to repeat it for what I'm sure is the millionth time. However, is it really about the savings? If your family is driving you that nuts, does it really matter if you save anything? I can understand if you're going to be spending more, but if its around the same, why not still save your sanity and have the wedding that you two are going to love?

Well, Lousivillebride, if we had unlimited funds, then of course we'd rather just elope. But we don't, therefore, we're going to have to suck it up. J&K, I'll let ya know. You're pretty close to them as it is, and I think Pirata offered a roundhouse kick too.I was on team elope also, but FI doesn't want to lose the money on things we've already paid for plus pay for the elopement.

Oh, and are you just so over Italy that you wouldn't do it there? I can't imagine a more romantic place to get married than Florence. But I can understand if it just doesn't hold the same feeling for you. Oh, or what about Siena? Or Sorrento?

I'm doing a courthouse wedding and a fancy dress. They just did a huge renovation on the Manhattan marriage bureau so it's super fancy now. Just sayin'. If you go the muzzle route can you send them to my family too? Since they'll be at the courthouse with me in my fancy dress.
