    Jackie and Adam May 22, 2010 (St. Augustine, FL)Hello everyone!  I have been lurking on the boards since I got engaged (July 9th) we finally set the date and place on Friday.  I'm very excited to say we will be getting married at the White Room in Historic St. Augustine.A little about us...we met through Plenty of Fish last November and connected right away.  We both come from great families and were embrassed by the others immediately.  We were both at a point where we were looking for that one to settle down with(He's 28, I'm 26).  His birthday present from me was a trip to Las Vegas.  He is an avid poker player (we play in a local free league) but had never been out there.  He also suggested we go to the Grand Canyon since he had never been there either.  We had a late flight out of JAX and after some delays made it to VEGAS around 1:30am (their time).  We rented our car and headed towards the Grand Canyon.  Soon the excitement wore off and we were getting tired.  We were planning on sleeping on the plane but had some problems with that.  Adam drove the whole way and we got there at 6:45 am.  I was all for taking a nap when we got there and he was wanting to do some hiking before it got too hot.  I was like how can you not be tired.  So we decided where we wanted to go.  We stopped at Hopi Point around 10am.  We found a more secluded area.  Adam had set up his video camera to take pictures of  us.  Well Mr. Sneaky pretended like it wasn't working and pressed record and after stalling while people passed behind us for about 10 minutes he got down on his knee and proposed.  It was very surreal and unexpected.  Later, I found out he had gone down to my parent's (central fl) house and asked for their blessing while I was visiting a friend a couple weeks prior.  He is such a sweet amazing guy and I'm so excited to spend the rest of my life with him.
