Veil Input Needed

Hello all!I'm about to order my veil and I need some input. I started an earlier post asking for advice on whether I should have a drop veil or a birdcage veil. I think you should go with a cut edge. IMO any other edge on a drop veil ruins the etheral romantic effect. They're so soft, flowy and light that an edge really drags them down.

def. cut edge, I agree with pp. Also the cut edge matches the bottom of your dress very well.

I'm a fan of cut edges. I also think a birdcage veil would look great with your tea-length dress too!

OMG, your dress is so cute! I agree, go with a cut edge. Those veils are supposed to be light and airy and putting a finish on the edge weighs it down.

I don't think I'm a fan of the plain cut edge, but I am now thinking that the ribbon is def. not delicate enough for the dress. I think I may now be opting for a matching pencil edge. Slightly bolder than the cut edge, but still delicate. Thoughts?

If you have the patience I would HIGHLY recommend you trying to make your own drop veil. I'm not entirely crafty but I made my drop veil and it only cost $25 (includes tulle, Sworavski crystals, and comb). I have instructions in my Blog. If you think this is something you want to do, let me know if you have any questions! (can page me on the Cincinnati board, or June 2010) But either way, I'd go with a cut edge

Thanks EKSK, but I ordered mine online for only $26. I didn't want any embellishments and my perfectionism tends to get in the way of my craftiness. I get a little too anal and end up mutilating the project. Hahaha. I ended up going with the pencil edge. I know that's the not most popular choice, but the cut edge just made it a little too fluffy.
