budget bride needs help

We are having trouble finding a location for our wedding and reception that fits into our budget. I'm looking at around 7000 for food and location for about 135 to 150 people. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks

I would look into the Coronado Community Center, I dont know how much it is but a friends sister got married there and her budget was 10000 for her whole wedding. And for food you could try Ranch catering. I've been told there really good and willing to work with anyones budget.

we are renting the quail botanical gardens out for a night for ceremony and reception is $3,00 and then you can essentially choose any caterer you want. with our caterer we chose, and the garden rental fee and our party rentals fees for all plates and linens is coming in at under $6000 for 110 people for everything there.

The Coroando Community Center is my venue, they are 2500 for residents. They book 18 mths out for residents and 12 for non and the price is more for non. They also have a list of caters you must choose from.  I was not impressed with Ranch when I went for an apt. They had confirmed and still did not have it on the books and we had to wait for them and you don't meet your person in charge until the day of.I went with Personal Touch in El Cajon and they have been wonderful. Even the proposal has a sample script for the day.Good Luck

If you know ANYONE in the military that would be willing to sponsor you, you could look into booking one of the military catering and conference centers. I'm getting married at the Admiral Kidd Club and it's super affordable. There are many locations to choose from, but they book early because they're all GORGEOUS and super affordable. It's worth looking into.

Pala Casino Resort is my venue ceremony and reception under $1000 best of all there's no sales tax. Alot of people think of Vegas but this is a nice venue if your not looking at having a beach wedding. A large variety of food choices from brunch to lunch, food stations and seated dinners ranging from $25 to $60 PP consider a lunch wedding to stay within your budget for the number of people your going to have. Also take in considereration the Admiral Kidd great location if you can get military base access, they have a number of different banquet rooms ranging in price. Most important keep the rental venue price down to at least $1500 to stay within your budget or you may have to cut the number of guest. Good Luck

My brother in law just got married at Sycuan RESORT for just under $4000. They got married in the gazebo w/ a beautiful lawn and the reception site is right by it. Its indoors w/ beautiful lighting and a dance floor. Everything is really nice. They also have a cute Victorian style house for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready. They had a sit down dinner, open bar, nice linens, napkins to match your color scheme and plenty of room. (A lot more to offer but just take a look for yourself)www.SycuanResort.comThere will be a link to catering and events in the main description. Hope I've helped a little...
