What do you think??

Back in July I received an invitation to a shower that I was unable to attend.  Instead of calling to RSVP I mailed a card to the honoree's house, explaining why I couldn't attend and included a gift card for one of her registered stores.  I didn't receive a thank you right away, then even after the shower had long passed I still never received a thank you.  Should I call or text her and ask if she ever received it?  Or should I let it go?  If anything I just hope she received it...

You should call to ensure she received the card but don't mention the thank you note. When was the shower?

I would call to make sure she received it--maybe she's waiting until the shower to open anything that arrived at the house?I would definitely follow up; things do get lost in the mail!

The shower was about 3 weeks ago.  I'm assuming she's already gotten her thank yous out from that.  I will get in touch with her today.

If its been 3 weeks than thank you's should've been sent. I would just make sure your card made it to her but I wouldn't mention the thank you note.

I would call to make sure she received the card, but don't mention a thank you. I didn't have mine out three weeks after - It took me about a month, I think.

Ditto Katie. It could have gotten lost in the mail - she should have sent a TY after getting the card regardless of the shower date since you weren't attending it, IMHO, but not everyone is as perfect and polite as us Knotties.

I'm hoping it didn't get lost, but my thing is, if she hadn't received it, wouldn't she have called me for my RSVP for the shower?  I told her in the card I couldn't go and why. I'll call her tonight.
