Shoes with this dress?

I'm having a casual ceremony with immediate family and closest friends and an even more casual reception at a park next spring (I know in many areas of the country, everyone that is invited to the reception should also be invited to the ceremony, but I live in Utah and it's the norm to have a small ceremony with a larger reception). I'm planning on ordering this dress from an etsy seller:[img]http://tinyurl.com/lyhww6[/img]My question is, what kind of shoes would you wear with this dress? We will most likely have the ceremony up in one of the canyons (no hike, just up in the area) so I'd like to avoid heels if possible. Any ideas would be awesome! TYIA.

What about a cute pair of flats? Maybe a fun color to dress them up a bit.

What about a cute wedge? That way you get the heel without worrying about it being too unstable. I agree that a fun color would be cute. For some reason I think boots would be super cute with this dress, but not really for a wedding.

I would never claim to be a fashionista, but I think gladiator sandals would look cute with that. Just mho.

Vogt, that would be great if you could find a picture. Haha, I think I'm so wrapped up in finally getting around to planning (we got engaged in March) that my brain isn't working at it's peak potential. Peep-toe flats would be reaaaaally cute. I'll have to start looking for some. I think gladiators might be cute too. They're more my regular style, but I somewhat doubted them for a wedding. I'm not sure though. I think boots would be cute too, kdc, but like you said, probably not for a wedding. Lucky for me, I plan on wearing that dress after the wedding as well, so I will probably invest in a good pair of boots.

For me, wedges would kind of ruin the delicate look that this dress has. I would go with a pair of kitten heel strappy shoes, like this:[url]http://tinyurl.com/npmf9f[/url][url]http://tinyurl.com/nqlced[/url][url]http://tinyurl.com/klhlbj[/url]It's definitely a bit Grecian, so you could do a gladiator with it, but not super hog wild, I would say.

Oh yes. I saw those and said, "Oh, those need to be purchased for that dress!" It would instantly turn it from "sweet" to husband ripping your dress off and leaving your shoes on!But, it depends on what look you're going for.

Maybe for the ceremony and reception, wear flats so my feet aren't killing by the end of the day and I don't fall, haha. But I could always switch into the heels for some killer pictures. FI would looooove them.
