Ok...I'll try to make this short and sweet. We booked our honeymoon through Expedia. Original departure flight was:Flint (leaving at 6:55am) to Cleveland, OH (arriving at 8:05am)Cleveland (leaving at 8:30am) to Cancun (arriving at 11:15am)Well, the flight from Flint to Cleveland was changed to 10:00am so we'd (obviously) miss our 8:30am flight from Cleveland to Cancun. Continental's solution was to fly us from Flint to Houston to Cleveland to Cancun (arriving at 7:05pm instead of 11:15am). Ummmm...WHAT?! Expedia called to inform me of this and to get my approval. Not gonna happen. I then asked "What if we fly out of Detroit instead?" The Expedia lady (who spoke very little English BTW) then put me on hold to call Continental. Why I couldn't call them directly, I have no clue. She came back and said we could fly out of Detroit. I asked if we'd return to Detroit or if we could still return to Flint. She put me on hold to call Continental back. Ugh. After 20 minutes of waiting, I saw on the Expedia website that customers should call the airlines direct with flight changes, etc. So I decided to call Continental myself without someone acting as a middle (wo)man. I found out we could leave Detroit at 8:25am, connect in Houston, and arrive in Cancun at 2:05pm. Our return flight would stay the same (thank God). I had them change our flight...confirmed it online and through email. Figured everything was all set. Guess not. I then received an email from Expedia freaking out because Continental was cancelling flights. *sigh* So I called Expedia back and said they cancelled/changed the flights because I told them to. When the guy gave me a hard time for calling the airline direct, I told him "That's what your website says to do!"I am so frustrated. But I think our flights are figured out. At least I hope so.
