  I am also getting married on the beach and I am debating if I use parasols or a small roses bouquet for the girls.   Honestly, I think some parasols look a little silly, and would only use them if they were the kind that added to the look of the wedding, if the BMs liked them, they were actually useful for sun protection, and they don't block cameras or the guest's view. Because the savings alone would be minimal.

  Hello...here is another idea for you.  We're getting married on the beach too and our girls are getting a single cymbidium orchid corsage and holding a sandalwood hand fan.  The hand fans you can get at michaels.  Good luck
