I just read that same sex couples getting married in Mass. is not allowed if their state of residency doesn't allow same sex marriage. Now I am freaking out I keep reading different things and I am calling them tomorrow!

Take a deep breath! The answer is that what you say was the case until July 31, 2008. However, the law changed on that date. It is not a coincidence that NotFroofy and I got engaged three days after that.
