Full open bar w/ two specialty cocktails.  Our colors were pink and green, so one was a cosmo and the other was a Honey-do martini (melon, coconut, pineapple liqueurs, rums).

Full open bar only because his parents are paying.  We might make our two favorites our "signatures" - Amaretto Sour and Jack and Coke.

We're doing pretty much the same as Tami, limiting it a little during cocktail hour, wine only during dinner, then open bar afterwards.  The open bar was not my choosing, but it wasn't worth a fight.  It will be monitored, though, since one of FI's friends is making it his 'goal' to make sure someone throws up at the wedding. Grr...

We are having Beer and a signature drink. All wine will be 2 to a table so for the toast they can serve themselves and we don't have to worry about having a line at the bar. As for the signature drink we know it's going to be blue, but my fiance is still concoting that up! His parents are paying for this, so I don't have much say in the matter.

For 115 people we bought 4 cases of beer (2 bud light, 2 bud), liquor to go with the mixers our venue provided (vodka, rum, Jack, tequlia, triple sec, gin, kaluha, Bailey's,) and we had 2 signature drinks Appletini, and Spiced Cider. I only spent about $300 at the liquor store, and brought home 2/3 of what we bought. By having a signature drink, you can choose something that uses more juice or pop, and less alcohol, and keep your bar costs down. People will drink it because it is different. I was at a wedding recently where when they had reached a certian dollar amount, they went to cash for everything including pop and bottled water. I wouldn't recommend this. I can see going to cash for alcohol, but going to cash for the rest really upset the guests who were on the dance floor and didn't have any money with them not expecting to have to pay for anything, and needed a drink to cool down.

We're doing something a little different. Open bar for mix drinks, keg of Miller Lite, and keg of Bud Light.Cash bar for shots, specialty beer, and bottled beer. The venue actually recommended it since we were kind of concerned of the bar tab with both our families and also our friends being drinkers. With purchasing the kegs, we also didn't want to have a bunch left over and the reason we did the cash bar for the specialty/bottled beer.

We had a full/open bar the whole night. Did not have a signature drink.

I think we're doing beer/wine with a signature drink... there's a full bar in the lobby for those that don't like any of the above. Our families don't drink much anyway and our college friends will be happy with beer.

We're doing a full open bar, but serving house brands, putting a dollar limit on the tab(probably around $1500-$2000 including champagne toast), and not serving alcohol the last hour so guests have a chance to wind down. That way we'll still please our guests but cut down on costs in ways that aren't noticeable to them.
