PIP your ceremony decorations..

Well with only 3 months to go, FI and I are contemplating changing our ceremony location to have it at the same spot as the reception. This will cut down on the length of time I will need the photog, cuts out the fee for the church rental and it will cut out the expense of a limo. Only problem is I have no clue how to decorate the place for our ceremony or how much it will cost. Our wedding is Thanksgiving weekend so I would like it to be fall/wintery themed and our colors are burgundy and gold. I thought about having some branch archway since we are doing branch centerpieces or even some kind of canopy, but don't know how much that would cost. If you guys have any suggestions or could PIP what your ceremony decorations were to give me ideas that would be great. TIA!! :-)

We are having our ceremony on a theatre stage, so it is pretty much a blank slate. We are DIYing our own chandeliers (no pics yet sorry!) and doing flowers. When I first met with Vivano's for a quote, they showed me a branch arch way that they did. It was really neat, but didn't quite fit with what we were looking for style-wise. The florist told me that with a budget of $300 for ceremony decor I could do quite a bit (including the branches I believe).Good luck!

PIB, it's under wedding pictures and it's the second row on the left. We had a canopy type thing made of branches that could have easily been made to look more fall/wintery.I say definitely go for having the ceremony and reception in the same place, all of our guests loved that they didn't have to travel

The Colony Club is so gorgeous!I found this...simple and it looks great! The place is so ornate, you won't likely need to do much.http://mod4.com/blog/2009/05/danielle-franks-big-day-colony-club-detroit/ Could you go with candles on the "altar" and keep the rest of the room really dim?Ask your florist for suggestions... some of the arches have lights...that candle lit look is so romantic, especially in a place with all that glitz and gold.

Thanks for all the ideas ladies! :-)yeah, you were right penni--the more we are thinking about it we are leaning towards having everything in the same place.  Just think it might be easier and cuts out having to get a limo.  Thanks so much for sending that link with pictures. It gives some good ideas.  :-)
