The Lincoln Theatre

We just checked out the Lincoln Theatre today, and I really liked it. Has anyone had their ceremony or reception there or been to one there? Was it a good experience?

    Hi there, we're booking Lincoln Theatre as well for our reception but our weddng isn't until next July. I love the ballroom.  They just reopened in May or June so from what Emily was telling me they really haven't had any many events in the ballroom. What's your date?

    We originally were thinking September 25th, but that date is very tentative. I think we may decide to have it in October instead. I think that it's really going to come down to where we end up booking and their availability. But definately sometime in the Fall. Were are you having your ceremony? When she showed us the theatre itself, I thought that it would be so cool to get married there and then have the reception upstairs in the ballroom. I really liked the idea of having tickets printed that could serve as the invitations.

    The theatre is beautiful, isnt it? Our date is 7/3 and we're getting married at Mt Vernon AME which is literally a block away from Lincoln.
