How long should a photographer stay?

Hi ladies - FI and I are setting up a metting with our (hopefully) wedding photographer to discuss the specifics of what we want and such.  FI really wants her there to do pics of while I'm getting dressed and such so he can see all those quirky little moments and what not but I'd like to have photos of our last dance.  Since we're starting to get dressed probably around noon (we want to do some pre-ceremony photos) and our last dance would be around 11:45, this would be an almost 12 hour day for our photographer, which would be insanely long.How long was/will your photographer be with you on wedding day?

    Our photographers will be with us for 10 hours so they will be able to capture getting ready to the end of the recpetion.

    In my photography contract, they are staying 10 hours, but she let me know that they will arrive early. So it all depends on your photographer. When is your wedding date? Have you booked your photographer yet. I had my engagement photos done by a young lady named Felisha from endlessexpressions.com.  She was so nice and didn't put a time frame on things. She worked until she got the shots we wanted. It was so natural, she drove to our house and took us to Old Town Alexandria and took shots by the water, boats with our dog. It was great!  I can't wait to see our wedding photos.

    Our photographer was there from 8AM to 11PM. It was a long day, but we had worked it into the contract and paid overtime for his assistants.

    mine said 10 hours, but would up being there about 1.5 hours early and staying until after we cut the cake, so like 11 hours total was plently, and we did pics beforehand.
