aisle runners-DIY question

How did you make your aisle runners for those of you who did it yourself? I'd like to make one and put a monogram on it. Also when do you roll it out? Just before the bride comes? Or before the entire bridal party walks out?TIA

we bought the runner, used the cricut to cut out a stencil on vinyl paper, then just painted in the stencil...it was soo easy! ours got rolled out right before the bridal party...the church wouldnt let guests walk on it

We bought our runner from Flower Factory for pretty cheap, but they also have them at Michaels and JoAnns with your 40% off coupon.  Just make sure they are a material and not the plastic-type. For ours, we made the monogram on powerpoint.  Then my MOH works at a printing company and printed it up HUGE.  So I put it under, traced it, and painted it. We had ours down the whole time and everyone walked on it.  It was taped down with outdoor carpet tape since our ceremony was outside.  If you are indoors, you can use straight pins to keep it in place.
