I know it has been forever since I have posted here but wanted to say hi and also ask a question of you all. Is there an acutal list of reception/ceremony sights that anyone has compiled? My coworker is getting married next year and is wondering about the places around Des Moines. TIA to anyone who has this info.

I have never seen any actual list of ceremony/reception sights. But I can list a few that I have come across while looking. I'm getting marries at the 4H camp in Madrid, IA. (http://www.extension.iastate.edu/4hcenter/facilitiesrental/index.php) They have all different types of building. There is also Ledges State Park (http://www.iowadnr.gov/parks/state_park_list/ledges.html) and the Iowa Arboretum (http://www.iowaarboretum.org) for outside weddings. They both do have building if you want to use them but I'm not sure how big they are and if they have A/C. There is also the Celebration Barn located in Cumming, IA.
