I have always found that word of mouth on theknot.com has been the best place to find vendors, and I have been very very happy with everything I have chosen so far with your feedback. The two last big things, florist and dj/band have been driving me crazy! Primarily because bands are so expensive, and even flowers can get crazy!1) Florist: I don't really care what the flowers are (except carnations). My favorite are pionies; they are very sentimental. I am hoping they won't be too expensive, since I am getting married in May, and they should be in season and regional at that time. ..I am also on the north shore, and would prefer a florist close by...I would like to try to keep my cost to around $1,000. I have 4 bridesmaids (plus 1 matron of honor), 2 flower girls, and 3 groomsmen (plus the best man). There are approx. 10 tables...anyone have any recommendations?2) I have heard of companies that have both bands and dj's, and you can have the band at the begining and then the dj later on, when it just doesn't matter as much...has anyone heard of that or done it? 3) Also, has anyone ever hired someone for cocktail hour from a music school? I figured I could save some money that way...Thanks, as always!
