wedding hair with bangs

I currently have bangs like this:My hair is a lot longer, but the bangs are that style and I really like them. However, I feel like it's not really "bridal." And kind of like they're dated at I'll look at my photos in 10 years and be like "what was I thinking?"I have a year, so I can grow them out to be more sideswept if I so choose. This is the type of style I'm planning to have -But I've also been trying to find some pics of brides with bangs like mine. Have you ever seen this? Do you think I should grow them out like Jessica's above? Am I being totally stupid changing my hairstyle for just one day?

• I actually have bangs that are about that length, a little longer. I usually side sweep them. I had all my bangs pulled to the side because I thought that the bangs would start to look unkept if I let them just sit on their own. If you're going to have them side swept, have them pinned somehow, otherwise they look messy, or will look messy as the day goes on.
• I'm growing mine out so I can sweep them for the wedding. I just didn't want to have to deal with them on the wedding day. My bangs also don't behave over a long day though. So, I don't think it's stupid to grow them out. Off the top of my head, I can't remember seeing bride bangs.
• If you really like them for your every day wear, then yes I think it's silly to try and change them for one day. If you talk to a hairstylist, I'm sure they can show you some options if you can't find any pics you like.Believe me, we will all look back on our pics in 10 years and find something that will make us ask ourselves, "what was I thinking?"
• I think updos with bangs in the front are really cute. If you want to do side bangs it really doesn't take that much growning. Probably just a couple months. And if you train them to go in a direction they will actually get used to it. My hair is super thin and boring but somehow manages to give good bang (that's what she said). You could also do the front of head poof that's so popular these days. You could do that with short bangs if you pulled in some other longer hair too.

• Another reason to grow them out: They may get crazy after a long day

• My hair stylist cut my bangs like yours now so they'll be long enough for a sweep by the wedding day.

• As a short haired bride, I had to give up the idea of "bridal hair" pretty early :)
• andi's hair is hot.I just cut bangs this week! (See my GTG with Champagne for pics). Doing it about an inch longer and a little side swept will look more timeless but will grow super fast. But if bangs are part of your signature look, then keep them!

• I have bangs like you, too, and I am leaning towards just rocking them. BHLDN has some pretty ideas for ladies with bangs:
