Wow! I headed to Maine this weekend for a busy whirlwind of WR stuff. I had my first fitting with the seamstress. I think she'll finish the alterations way faster than I thought she would, since she doesn't work for a shop, she just does it herself. I felt very at ease with her knowledge of how to fix what needed to be fixed. Then, I spent some time with my mom working on favors and escort cards. This morning, I had my b-pics with Tess. Based on her reaction to the session, I'm dying to see my pics! She commented on how easy I was to work with, and how she had never shot anyone from some of the angles, and just generally gave compliments that helped put me at ease along the way. I was insanely nervous about a half hour before my appointment, but not at all once I saw her. I highly recommend her if anyone is thinking of doing b-pics! AND, to top it all off, my shower was today. It was supposed to be a surprise, but it worked out nicely. It was quite intimate, just close family on both sides (it was co-ed, which I wanted) and a couple of old college friends. I think I would have felt awkward with too many more people than that, so it was perfect for us. I just wish my MOH hadn't wanted to keep it a secret, because I would have loved to have spent much more time with her!
