We plan on doing a sand ceremony. My son will pour with me and his daughter will pour with him. Then the four of us pour together symbolizing the joining of our families. I hope that helps.

I too like the idea of sand ceremony but I think it would be good to get everyone there own color of sand and containers and pour them together as a family instead of a unity candle.

You could get everyone the same type of jewelry and it could symbolize the unity there.

Well by the time I get married, I will have a one month old baby, so what we are doing is when the JOP announces us, he will also give the names of my son and our one month old baby. We will walk up the aisle together showing we are an united family.
