Opinions on Waldenwoods?

Has anyone attended a reception, or held their reception, at Waldenwoods in Hartland?  Someone recently recommended it to me, so I made an appointment to check it out this weekend.  Their "outdoor package" seems reasonably priced, but I'm not sure what kind of a reception it would be.

I went to a wedding there and it was beautiful. Very good food too. There is a spot out back right on the water where the ceremony is held. Then everyone goes right inside for the reception. It's a very big, but cozy space. HTH

went to a reception there probably 5 years ago. The place is really beautiful. I don't remember much about the food but I love the interior and that we could walk around the water and get outside easily.

Same as above... food was great, scenery was great.  It really was a beautiful ceremony right by the lake.  The only potential concern was that there is (was) no inside back-up in case of rain (for the ceremony).  It was a little dicey for a while, but eventually the sun came out.  Not sure what they would have done it it hadn't cleared up.

My brother got married there about 2 years ago. Very, Very pretty! The head person that you deal with ( can't remember her name) is so nice and very helpful. It's has an old southern house look to it, my SIL's family is all from down south so it was a great fit for them!! There is a hotel about 2 miles away they were very nice as well and we got to use there breakfast room for an after party, which was really cool we ordered pizzas and got to use the pool! Also there are a few cider mills around so for pictures depending on when your having your wedding you can take pics there which turned out very cool. The cider mill also gave us free donuts so that was a plus lol!!!

I'm going to a wedding there this weekend!  I'll add in my two cents when I get back on Sunday.  But I'm already excited because there will be a bon fire and s'mores after the reception at 11:00!

i looked at it and loved it. I especially loved the fact that guests could stay at the cabins they rent out. Perfect for an after party :)

kristinandbill, please let me know what you think of the bonfire and smores deal after you experience it as a guest this weekend!  It sounds like a cute idea, I just can't visualize how that would work with a big group.  So I'm excited to hear your thoughts!
