Are any of you doing Signature Drinks at your wedding?

We did -- two signature drinks to coordinate with our colors (key lime and rasberry martinis) along with the rest of the standard bar offerings during cocktail hour. It was another way to pull our colors in and our caterer offered it at no additional cost. Not sure if I would have paid for them but since they were free, it was a "why not" sorta thing.

We've thought about it. Maybe mojitos for FI's cuban heritage. Also, there's actually a drink called a "Perfect Ten" which might be cute since our date is 10-10-10. But we haven't decided yet. Lots of time till then.

SarahSmile - yes, I convinced Nandy into letting me do 1 signature drink. My mom suggested she offer "Manor Martinis" along with beer and wine and she liked the idea. The one that I'm most likely going to do is pink lemonade with vodka & call it The Blushing Bride...got the idea off of a Platinum Weddings episode. Bentley Baby - Perfect 10 would be so cute since you're getting married on 10-10-10! Love that!

i'm happy for you, but i am also pretty upset. i cried and begged for months for them to let me even have a champagne-based signature drink and they wouldn't let me. i don't think i will be referring anybody else to them lol. but i am happy for you that you get one!

Our hotel offered this to us as well. However, we have not thought of a cute drink as of yet. Maybe something pink....??

We want to do signature drinks... We're gonna do a purple one and an aqua/blue one.. I gotta start working on them... hmm... anyone wanna do a tasting? :-)

For cocktail hour we had 2 that represented our ethnic heritage since our cocktail hour was mexican and malaysian themed (the waiters passed around sangria and a custom "malaysian lemonade" drink that I designed) We also offered sig cocktails during the reception, we had 3 that were plays on our names or background- I really researched this part of our menu!! 1) the "leojito"- a malaysian mojito (basically a mojito w/lemongrass- leo is DH's name) 2) the "vanessatini"- a pomegranate martini w/a "special" ingredient 3) the "Milk of malaysia"- a custom crafted cocktail built around one of my DH's funny nicknames that his friends used to call him It was a great source of conversation at the bar and our friends and family got a kick out of them :-) It's too bad you only get one signature drink! :-(

SarahSmile - Oh no, I'm sorry. I honestly think that the only reason she is letting me have one is because we are providing the beer and possibly the wine. So she won't be getting money for that. She is charging us $300 for the signature drink. And it's just 1, thats all she allowed. I think maybe she is trying to make the money back that will be lost due to the beer because she put her foot down on the idea before I asked her if we could provide the beer. I'm still trying to decide if I want to have one or not because $300 for just pink lemonade and vodka which is a simple drink seems high to me.
