Candy Bars

What are the thoughts on candy bars for a favor for guests? I've never seen one at a local wedding and wondered how everyone thought they would go over or if anyone had suggestions on how to make them successful.

I am having a candy buffet at my wedding, and using the chinese takeout boxes in my colors. I also never saw one at a wedding before, but the pictures that I saw look really neat. Some people use just candy in that are their wedding colors. Mine would be pink and green. I found this poem somewhere online(not quite sure where) that the person put on their table.

Step right up to the Candy Buffet

It's a sweet addition to a wonderful day.

This is a treat we are offering you

on this beautiful day, when we say "I Do"

Use the scoop, choose what you like,

    leave some for others

    be polite

As you enjoy your bag of treats

    please remember

    Love is Sweet!

I like it but may change some words around. Do you know where you are buying your candy from?

I haven't gotten that far yet...we just got engaged 2 weeks ago - I'm only in the brainstorming process. I'm not a huge fan of favors on the tables so I thought this may be a nice alternative. The pictures that I have seen are really beautiful too. I'll keep you updated on what I find - I hope you'll do the same. Good luck!

Great idea!!! If you feel like making a road trip to Berks County, there's a place called Premise Maid Chocolates... they do chocolate bars with specialty wedding wrappers, very cute!  Can be pricey, depending on how many you'd need.
