Fashionistas Come on in

So, today is the day after labor day and last week a girl at the office said that she had to return some clothes because they were white and "you can't wear white after Labor Day". So that got me thinking.... I know I do not follow this rule, I have some white button down shirts that I wear year round. Do any of you still follow this rule? I thought was an 80's thing....

I don't follow that rule. If it's cute, clean and fits I'm wearing it.

In an attempt to appear like a fashionista, the said, 'girl at the office' is making a total fool of herself. Does she even know why people stopped wearing white after Labor Day? We're in hot and humid Houston for crying out loud!Girl, wear your botton downs. That is such an outdated rule that doesn't apply to us.

That rule doesn't apply in hot/humid regions.  I still wear my whites.Tinybride:  Congrats on your pregnancy!

That's what I always thought, but when she said this last week I just freaked out. Cause she is the type of person to talk about your wardrobe the minute you are out of site. I so dislike those type of women.

I thought it was in reference to white bottoms like pants or skirts.  I don't wear much white because I hate washing white clothes.

i think it has more to do with material...white linen on december 23rd? not so much. *unless you r in hawaii* white turtlenecks ...good to go. white button downs are a staple year round. white shorts...after it cools down...not so much. oh and i never wear white shoes. lol.

that's an outdated rule. it's too effing hot in Houston to not wear white. besides, a white sweater looks so pretty in winter.and another thing, if that rule were still in effect, all fall/winter brides are screwed.

I wear white whenever I feel like it. I don't believe in that insane rule.

Me and white are a bad combo..it becomes dirty as soon as I leave the house. Plus black is more slimming. hahahah
