Hi- does anyone know where I can buy pretty and funny "will you be my bridesmaid/maid of honor" cards. I've been looking online but most cards seem pretty basic (a picture of a dress or a bride) and I'm looking for something a little more meaningful that someone would want to keep! Thanks!

I hate to break it to you, but no one is going to keep your "Be my BM" card.I will confess, I still have one from 2007. My best friend, who I've known since birth, wrote the sweetest note in it and it made me cry. It's still on my fridge.But yeah, I just made mine for free on VistaPrint. I would have just called, but I'm better at writing these kind of things.

Poems are more meaningful for asking your friends to be in your wedding.Go to Wedding Woes board and check Wifezilla's bio for good examples. She has poems for almost everything!

Lucy, you gotta have BM survival bags. I also had BM try-outs. I wanted 10 girls, but only enough space for 4. Try-outs were pretty aggressive, but I only wanted the best.

Yup, I'm a nerd. My fridge is full of sappy stuff like that. I save cards.I also liked the concept of a card in the case of one of my BMs, who I think might have a) been a little surprised that I asked her and b) wanted to think over the money stuff first. I didn't want to blindside her.

Maybe you could like pass a note via Middle school. Like have them check a box yes or no...save you money and you wouldn't feel to bad if they threw it away.

My only reqiurement was they couldn't be taller than me! Kidding, of course, but at 5'2", I was actually the tallest one of the group. I have short friends.

Make a card, or buy something sentimental and sappy at Target, then write a sappy poem or note about how you love them and have always been there for you and yada yada yada.I fail at sappy stuff, I just called or asked at some point when I saw the person.

Brie, I hate keeping stuff like cards. I keep them a week and then in the trash they go, with the exception of a few things from Tim that are stored in a nice little box.

This is going to sound horrible, but I only actually ASKED one of my BM;s (FI's sister).The other 2 BMs are my sisters, and pretty much right after I got engaged, we were all talking and I just said "Well, you KNOW I'm asking you guys" and they were like "Yeah, duh!", and it was just a done deal after that.But to be perfectly honest, we never do anything "right" in my family, lol
