Fort Worth Gardens..

Can anyone tell me why you can only bring ten chairs into that site for a ceremony? Have any of you ever been to a wedding there? How did they pull that off?

I was in a wedding there this past March and they reserved the chairs for the immediate family and/or older guests. Everyone else just stood and watched. It worked fine because the ceremony wasn't that long and it wasn't unbearably hot or cold(although I know that is a total toss up for Texas weather lol)

The Botanical Gardens? If that's where you are talking about, it's because they don't have a huge area set up for weddings.  About ten is the max.

Yes sorry, I was referring to the Botanical Gardens. I just thought from some of the pictures that it looked like there would be more room for chairs, that's why I asked. Thanks so much for the quick info!

I always thought that it was because too many chairs might tear up the grass and ground too much. FBIL & FSIL got married there, and the ceremony was so short that it really didn't matter that we were standing.

I was planning to have my wedding there at first. The ten chair thing at first was annoying.. but then like everyone else has said.. the ceremony would not have been that long. I ended up having to schedule my wedding for 05/01 and the weather is usually bad around that time... so we switched to the rose chapel instead. ;_; kinda wish i had stayed with the garden though.
